¿Qué onda vatos? Mis probados y verdaderos carnales. Thanks again for deciding to read my email. Even if you're just skimming it or glancing at it to see how I'm doing, making sure I'm surviving, and seeing what kind of crazy stuff happened. This week was honestly awesome. Why? Because it was, and we made some new friends, had some friends come to church, and had some super epic lessons. Our friends Mike and Carol came to church with us this week. Ashley, unfortunately, couldn't make it because she was out of town taking care of her sister, but she's still awesome and ready to be baptized. We just gotta help her and her boyfriend get married first. Our friend Carol has been working on quitting smoking this week in order to be baptized, and our friend Mike loves the church and wants to be baptized; he just has some things to work out first. Please keep them in your prayers this week so that things can fall into place for all of them! As well, there's the elephant...

Very few of you will probably know the quote this week, but it's about dads, and I know that my dad knows what it's from, and that's what really matters. Happy Father's Day, Dad, thanks for all you've done for me. Love you. Also, Happy Father's Day to all dads and future dads out there. I'm truly grateful for you all. I'm also grateful for our Heavenly Father, who shows us that perfect love and support. I feel like I always say this, but this week went well and was a good one. Definitely had its fair share of highs and lows, though. Despite being a good week, this week was also a little tough. We had lessons fall through, only one of our friends showed up to church, and I've been overall exhausted from the heat. BUT, despite all of that, the work moves forward, and we had some really cool experiences this week. It seems that every time there's difficulty or trials, I'm able to find some tender mercy or success that truly reminds me how import...

Oh Yeah, It's All Coming Together

¿Qué tal mis carnales? Hope y’all are doing well, because I know I have been. We had four of our friends come to church with us this week, which was so awesome! They all loved it and want to come back to keep learning and hearing more. It was such a cool experience to be a part of that things worked out and they were able to make it. We honestly didn’t expect that they’d all be able to make it, but Sunday morning, they reached out to us to let us know they were ready and wanted to come to church. Some of them needed rides to church, so we had to scramble last minute to find members who could take them, but in the end, it all worked out. Our friends Ashley, her dad Fred, Carrol, and Mike were all able to come and have a great experience at church. They've each been going through their own trials and difficulties in life, but made it anyways. Also, our friend Ashley, whom we've been teaching, accepted a date to be baptized! She's absolutely loved all that we've taught her...

It Means It's Hot!!

Some of you might have been wondering why I didn't send out an email last Monday. (If you didn't notice, don't worry, I still love you.) But long story short, there wasn't much to update you on since I'd just sent one out on Thursday. That being said, it's been since last Thursday since I emailed, so let's get down to brass tacks. The long foretold and dreaded day has come. Summer is upon us, along with all the heat and humidity that come with it, in a bike area on the coast nonetheless. All in all, that means it's hot! Wish me luck. That being said, I've been doing really well, and this past week was most excellent. (Extremely tiring, of course, but quite excellent.) You may be asking what made it so good? There's both so much and not very much to say about it. My companion and I found some super awesome and elect people this week, and it really happened because we put in the effort and did all that we could. Things hardly (if ever) work out how...
