Very few of you will probably know the quote this week, but it's about dads, and I know that my dad knows what it's from, and that's what really matters. Happy Father's Day, Dad, thanks for all you've done for me. Love you.
Also, Happy Father's Day to all dads and future dads out there. I'm truly grateful for you all. I'm also grateful for our Heavenly Father, who shows us that perfect love and support.
I feel like I always say this, but this week went well and was a good one. Definitely had its fair share of highs and lows, though. Despite being a good week, this week was also a little tough. We had lessons fall through, only one of our friends showed up to church, and I've been overall exhausted from the heat.
BUT, despite all of that, the work moves forward, and we had some really cool experiences this week. It seems that every time there's difficulty or trials, I'm able to find some tender mercy or success that truly reminds me how important this work is and that Heavenly Father is aware of us and constantly providing a way.
This week, as our plans fell through, we were able to be exactly where we needed to be, give service to those who needed it, comfort those who didn't know what else to do, and overall show Christ's love and invite everyone. I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it: I love this work, I love this gospel, and most of all, I love our Savior.
Our friend Ashley, who is on date to be baptized, isn't married to her boyfriend and the father of her children but said she wants to get married and is happy to keep working towards baptism. She was on vacation this weekend and couldn't make it to church, but she's still doing well. Surprisingly though, her dad Fred came to church with us and told us he intends to come every week. Definitely pretty cool to see.
I don't have much else to say or much more time to say it, but before I go, I want to share a scripture with you that shows how much our Heavenly Father loves us.
1 John 3:1
"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons (and daughters) of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not."
I know that we truly are His children and that He knows you individually. The world may try and say otherwise, but never forget that simple but powerful truth.
Hope you all have a great week, thanks again for reading!

Last week's email: "Oh yeah, it's all coming together."
Movie: Emperor's New Groove – When Kronk realizes where Cusco is and where they can go to try and catch him. One of the only smart things Kronk does the entire movie. Good job, Kronk.
Pics:
Big ol' spider with my hand there for reference (scary putting my hand that close to it).
Cool dude who wanted a pic with us and said we missionaries had a "one-way ticket to Heaven."
20 McNuggets at interviews with President (also me with no hair; it's growing back though).
Epic Mexican mural.
Happy Juneteenth from me and the other elders in my ward. (I think we got a pretty good color spectrum going.)
