Oh Yeah, It's All Coming Together

¿Qué tal mis carnales? Hope y’all are doing well, because I know I have been.

We had four of our friends come to church with us this week, which was so awesome! They all loved it and want to come back to keep learning and hearing more. It was such a cool experience to be a part of that things worked out and they were able to make it. We honestly didn’t expect that they’d all be able to make it, but Sunday morning, they reached out to us to let us know they were ready and wanted to come to church. Some of them needed rides to church, so we had to scramble last minute to find members who could take them, but in the end, it all worked out. Our friends Ashley, her dad Fred, Carrol, and Mike were all able to come and have a great experience at church. They've each been going through their own trials and difficulties in life, but made it anyways.

Also, our friend Ashley, whom we've been teaching, accepted a date to be baptized! She's absolutely loved all that we've taught her and all the feelings of peace, joy, and belonging she had at church. Please keep her in your prayers that she can receive the spiritual guidance she needs to keep learning and progressing to reach that goal.

As far as the rest of the week and other updates, there’s not much more to say. It’s still been hecka hot and humid, but I’m still hanging in there on the bikes. The other Elders and I ate really well this week as we had a member take us out to eat at Freddy’s (delicious steakburgers and custard), Elder Bodner and I got to go out to eat at Jersey Mike’s, and today we all got to go out to eat burgers at Five Guys, courtesy of my parents. Love you, Mom and Dad; we appreciate it, the burgers were delicious!

Final update is that I once again have no hair. I was giving myself a haircut so it’d be cooler for being on the bikes, and when I went to blend the sides into the top, I accidentally used the wrong guard and took off a lot more hair than I wanted to. As a result, I had to fully buzz my head again and I look silly. I’m really glad Heavenly Father gave us hair that grows back so we don’t have to live with bad haircuts forever.

I’m also so grateful that He provided a way for us to be forgiven for our other mistakes and shortcomings in life through His son, Jesus Christ. I know that God lives and loves us, especially in the difficult times.

Love y’all, and thanks again for tuning in. Have a most excellent week!

P.S. Didn’t realize this didn’t actually send until now.

Last week's email: "It means it's hot!"
Movie: The Incredibles – When Mr. Incredible and Frozone are saving the people from the burning building, Frozone goes to put it out with his ice powers and can't. He tries to explain to Mr. Incredible why he can't, but eventually just tells him, "It means it's hot!"

(And I was gonna include a pic of me being basically bald, but decided y’all can wait until next week. Sorry, not sorry, but don’t worry, I promise my hair won’t have all grown back by then.)
