It Means It's Hot!!

Some of you might have been wondering why I didn't send out an email last Monday. (If you didn't notice, don't worry, I still love you.) But long story short, there wasn't much to update you on since I'd just sent one out on Thursday. That being said, it's been since last Thursday since I emailed, so let's get down to brass tacks.

The long foretold and dreaded day has come. Summer is upon us, along with all the heat and humidity that come with it, in a bike area on the coast nonetheless. All in all, that means it's hot! Wish me luck.

That being said, I've been doing really well, and this past week was most excellent. (Extremely tiring, of course, but quite excellent.) You may be asking what made it so good? There's both so much and not very much to say about it. My companion and I found some super awesome and elect people this week, and it really happened because we put in the effort and did all that we could. Things hardly (if ever) work out how we expect or plan them to, but through Christ, they always work out.

A couple of small miracles I'd like to share:

The first was how we found our friend Tamie. Our plans got a little thrown off course, and before we knew it, night had fallen, and we found ourselves in an area we'd been explicitly told to avoid after dark due to dangerous activity. As we went through the area, we saw a woman outside on her porch and felt we needed to talk to her. When we asked if we could share a message about Christ with her, she eagerly accepted. God put us in the right place at the right time and protected us so we could do His work. As we've continued meeting with Tamie, the impact the gospel and the Spirit has on her is so evident and powerful.

Second, Elder Bodner felt we needed to visit a family he'd seen in the past. As we went that way and knocked on the door, she opened and told us she'd been going through a very difficult loss and needed more of God's love and support in her life. Again, God is aware of each of us, and His gospel can, will, and does lead, guide, and support us.

Transfer calls were moved to Tuesday nights, so we'll see what happens tomorrow, and I'll let you know next week.

Keep on keeping on and remember the Lord in all you do; the blessings will come.

Sincerely,

-Elder Teeples
