My Death Was Greatly Exaggerated
If you read last week's email, you understand the title. If you didn't, that's OK because you're reading this one! What you need to know is that we're going until the buzzer sounds.
It was a really fun week, full of biking back and forth across town, inviting people to church, locking them in, extending baptismal dates, and introducing them to members. It tired me out, and I ended up getting a stomach bug that slowed us down for one of the days and drained my energy for a few after that.
We’re all good, though, and I made a recovery just in time to help four of our friends come to church this week! Definitely a blessing that God magnified our efforts, even with things holding us back. We had locked in six, but we'll get them—and more—next week for conference.
It's truly incredible (but believable) that God has helped us find people and families that are truly ready and willing to change to more fully follow their Savior.
Juan is really looking to change for the sake of his family. He's always so busy but finds time for them, to meet with us, and, most of all, for Christ. He and his family came to church yesterday, and it was so exciting to see. Please keep him and his family in your prayers as he overcomes some difficult habits and obstacles.
Our friend Guadalupe also came. He wants to change and find a fresh start more than ever. He's always the most ready and excited for our lessons—he can hardly wait! He's got some challenges working against him, one being that we’ve got to help him get married, but with God, I know we’ve got this.
Lastly, we have a mom named Daniela and her daughter. She almost made it to church but just missed it. Sad day, but her desire to come and be baptized is so strong that I know she'll be there for conference next week.
I'm out of time, but thanks for the constant support through it all!

After Westley goes through the machine set to 50, they bring him to Miracle Max to revive him. Luckily, this is Max's response to the situation, meaning it's possible.

Went to the Brownsville Zoo today, aka the zoo where Harambe the gorilla was born and raised before meeting his sad fate in Cincinnati.
Another gorilla meditating, finding inner peace.
Rest in peace, Harambe.
Gorilla statues (I like gorillas).
Me with a little monkey (he looks like the one from Night at the Museum).
The sisters in the zone betrayed Sister Simpson on her birthday and set up a plan for the whole zone to surprise her and do a mordida (put cake in her face). This was the end result.
Boredom + Expo marker = Spider-Man drawn on the floor.
Best Trump tie out there. Opps will say it’s homemade and not real.
Awesome mural.
Yawning baboon with big scary teeth.
