My Time Has Come

To all who have been reading up until this point, or even if you're just reading this email: thank you, and I appreciate you. This was the last full week of my mission. From being set apart as a missionary on Sep. 26, 2022, to going home for two weeks on medical release in between the MTC and the field, to being here today—all in all, it's been the greatest opportunity and experience I could possibly have asked for. This past week was busy as always, and we saw a lot of miracles. We were able to teach a part-member family where the mom really wants to come back to church and help her daughter learn the gospel. We're seeing miracles from our friends who watched General Conference. There's a ton of potential in this area. I'm a bit sad to be leaving, but I know God definitely has a plan for the people here, and the work will continue. So Long, Partner

Right off the bat, we got some crazy news. I'm now in a trio, my area has quadrupled in size, and we technically have a car we can use now. You're probably wondering why; well, long story short, Elder Carver, one of the missionaries in my district, has to go home on health leave. It was real sad to see him go, even if he will be back out in a couple of transfers. But that's the reason for today's quote/title. This leaves Elder Foltz without a companion, so he's come to join Elder Bodner and me as a trio, and we'll be working his area as well as our bike area. It's a bit of an awkward situation, but we can make it work for the last two weeks of the transfer. This week was super cool because we were able to reset our friend Carol's baptismal date, and our friend Tamie accepted a baptismal date! You Got Heart Kid, Where You From?

Okay, so my p-day has been busier than my normal days, which is quite backwards, but oh well. This morning we had breakfast earlier, had a "preparing for the field" devotional (which was quite good, but that's not the point), an unchangeable baptism appointment at the temple, and a Spanish proficiency test that gave me a slight panic attack (turned out fine though, but also not the point). I then had to go with my companion and the other elders in my district and wait while they waited to get their hair cut. It all turned out good and was a pretty sweet p-day, but writing and sending an email definitely took a backseat. But it's fine because here we are. Anyways, as for the title, I got the results for my heart monitor, and they didn't find any problems! (Hats off if you know who said the quote and who he said it to.) The one downside is that they might need me to check in with the cardiologist and possibly get delayed a week, which I seriously hope doesn't...
