Are You Not Entertained?

Hola, hola, hola!

(Pronounced "hole-uh." Not actually though, because it's Spanish.)

Anyways, how y'all doing? Sorry for that weird/bad joke. For whatever reason, I think that sometimes.

Hope y'all enjoyed general conference this past weekend—I know I sure did. The email title this week is for those who maybe get a bit bored watching conference. I get it, because it can be long, but also I don't, because it's awesome.

We were able to get a good amount of our friends to watch conference, and as a zone, we helped around 111 non-members watch! Pretty awesome, especially considering our goal as a zone was 70.

It's getting hotter here, which makes the bikes a bit more tiring and tough, but all in all, it's good. We did a crazy amount of biking during conference to remind people and tell people it was happening. We didn't get much time to actually sit and watch, but luckily we could put in an earbud and listen as we biked. Definitely going to go back through them all, though, because there were some absolute fire talks.

Lately, we've been working with our friend Tomas (Tom). He's on baptismal date for this coming weekend, and he's looking super solid. He watched most of conference and loved it. He's been so ready for the gospel and to make those changes in his life. He's an excitable guy and talks a lot, but loves the gospel already. He also came to a baptismal service yesterday in the ward and loved it. I asked him how he's feeling about next week, and he said, in effect, "All good, no hesitation, I'm excited."

He's kind of like Luis from Ant-Man and goes off excitedly about things and is essentially a "human jukebox," as they say. Sometimes he plays through some of the same tracks and repeats himself, but oh well. Picture Luis, but 15-20 years older, with 70's style glasses, and with a buzz cut, and you've got Tom.

Before I go, I just want to leave my testimony that this is Jesus Christ's church on the earth today with Prophets and Apostles. I know we have the priesthood authority that allows us to fully access Jesus Christ's Atonement, and I know that temples truly are Houses of the Lord and bring the holiness of the Lord into our lives.

Love y'all! Watch and read through conference! (Even if you already have!)

Last week's email: "I still got time!"
Movie: The Incredibles - Bob/Mr. Incredible says this a couple of times as he's fighting crime when he actually should be getting ready for his wedding.
