They Found Me, I Don't Know How But They Found Me
¿Qué pasa, calabaza?
Hope everything’s going and moving for all y’all.
As far as the email title, this week I got special permission to have lunch with some family friends. Crazy that they found me in such an obscure corner of the world, but they found me.
Things this week were pretty fuego, but not so much that we got burned, if you know what I mean.
(Our friend Gally we’ve been teaching actually spells her name Gali because it’s short for Galilea, which is Spanish for Galilee.)
Had stake conference this weekend, and our friend Gali came Saturday night. On Sunday, we had our friend Alvin (the cousin of our recent convert Albert from Cuba). They’re both progressing super well and are super excited to be baptized. This next weekend we’ll be having Gali’s baptism! It was going to be yesterday, but it got pushed back so her husband, who works out of state, can come. Hopefully, it’ll help her set that example for him as well. She’s super ready, and the ward has been helping her and her kids feel comfortable, which has been so amazing to see.
Also, got to have MLC over Zoom this week, which gave me some really cool inspiration and insights, especially about the commandments and how to teach them. As children of God, we instinctively know what’s right and what’s wrong. When people aren’t keeping commandments, they deep down know they should be doing something else but might not know what or how. Teaching the commandments gives them that guidance and truly helps them know what God wants for them.
Big mission announcement is we’ll be marching to 100 this month. What that means is in the month of March, we’ll be going for 100 baptisms as a mission. Crazy, but definitely doable, and the miracles really are here and happening.
Anyways, that’s all I’ve got for today. Keep it up and keep at it!
