There's Always A Bigger Fish
Es que aquí estoy con otra carta.
How have you all been and how's life? Big thanks to everyone who emailed me. You're the greatest. To all of my other readers, you're awesome too.
The email title this week comes because there's always more miracles in store and there's always people to find. It also comes because for p-day we went to a local park and pond. There was a guy casting his net, pulling in tilapia, carp, and bass. Elder Lonson and I went over to talk to him, and he let us help him catch some fish. (Pics below)
This past week was yet again, loco. It always feels like there's so much that happens and then it all feels like a blur.
Very quickly, to take a page out of the book of my old friend and one of my first companions, Elder Wilson, I'll be doing a section called "Stories We Don't Tell Mom." I almost get hit by cars a couple of times a week. One particular time, a car was coming out of a neighborhood, stopped, and as I was crossing, started to go again and got within an inch or two of me/my bike. Luckily, the Spirit (had to have been the Spirit) prompted me to veer to the side at the right moment. The guy rolled down his window and apologized. All in all, a crazy experience. That is all.
A cool thing that happened was a General Authority 70 came to visit the missionaries and spoke to us. He also had a meeting with recent converts in the area and people being taught by the missionaries. It was super cool to see how he interacted with them and the knowledge he has of the gospel.
As far as friends, our friend Angel came to church and is progressing well, but we're going to have to resolve some doubts about baptism. Our friend Vivian unfortunately got sick, but is still wanting to meet and is super cool. Unfortunately, one of our friends, Mayte, is going through a loss in her family and can't meet. Please keep all of them in your prayers; they're going through a lot right now.
I know the Atonement of Jesus Christ is infinite and He truly can and will help and comfort us in all our trials.
Les amo!
-Elder Teeples
P.S. Why is this coming in so late? I had some crazy situations and got permission to send this late.
Last week's email: "Coach, we need a water break."
Movie: Remember the Titans
One of the players, Blue, says this as training gets tough. The Coach then doubles down and makes them do more up-downs for that comment.
