He's A Friend From Work!

¿Qué onda, vatos? How have you all been? I hope it's been good. If not, I'm sorry to hear that; let me know if I can help at all. Hopefully, things will be looking up soon for you. God is pretty good like that.

I hope you enjoyed that and imagined me talking to you. Miss y’all. As far as transfer news, I’m back in the valley, in a town called Weslaco. The best part is, I’m back with the legend himself, my MTC companion, Elder Kuzmic! This piece of good news is reflected in this week's movie quote.

When I got the news, I couldn’t even believe it. The slight downside is that now I’m on tech squad and have the added responsibility of running Facebook pages, making videos, and going to more meetings. Honestly, it could be pretty fun, especially with how awesome the work is here. Needless to say, I’m quite excited for this transfer.

I forget how crazy it is getting transferred to a new area, especially going from a coastal city at the northern part of the mission back down to the border, but it’s been a good adjustment and I’m hoping to just jump right into the work here. The day of transfers, we woke up at 5 a.m. to drive down to McAllen so we as a zone would have time to go through the McAllen Temple open house, and it was so worth it.

The ward here is super awesome and very missionary-minded. Including us, there are 4 sets of missionaries in the ward! It’s absolutely crazy how much growth we’re seeing here. I had a few friends on baptismal dates that unfortunately missed church, but we’ll hopefully be able to reset them on date and help them get baptized here soon. I’m especially excited for our new friend, Joel, who had met with missionaries in the past and has been studying for years now. I really hope to help him reach his goal of being baptized.

Not much more to say other than that with an eternal perspective, any situation is possible and we can always look at things through the lens of God’s love for us. It’s truly a lesson I’m still learning and will be for the rest of my life, but one that I’ll gladly share with all who will listen.

¡Amo a todos y espero que tengan una semana llena de bendiciones!

Last week's email: "Did I leave the stove on?"

Movie: Deadpool – I have not seen this movie in its entirety, but in this part of the movie, he’s in a car that’s flipping down the highway, and while the car is upside down, he turns toward the camera, breaks the fourth wall, and asks this random question.
