Did I Leave The Stove On?
If you remember, toward the end of my email last week, I mentioned a tropical storm was coming through Corpus. What ended up happening is it rained super hard for two days straight, drizzled a bit the next day, and then stopped. I had to stay inside most of the first day but was able to work the second and third, which was nice.
After the rain stopped, it's been SUPER humid, which has made it really hot; hence the title this week.
Not a whole lot to report on this week, but it wasn't a bad week. I got an online referral for someone named Addisun. What's significant is that under the category "topic of interest," she said baptism! When we called her and introduced ourselves, she sounded excited to hear from us. She told us she's actually been wanting to get baptized for a while now, which is super awesome to hear. A slight issue is that she also said she wants to have her baby baptized too, but we'll read some Moroni 8 and help her see why that's not necessary. Hopefully, more to report on that next week.
Our friend Frank has been doing well and is still loving coming to church and being a member. We were going to head down to the McAllen temple open house tomorrow, but unfortunately, his son Mark hit his head and has a big gash. I'm not going to lie, I'm really disappointed that I won't be able to go to the open house with them. I was super excited to go and to help Frank learn more about the temple. I just hope Elder Jones is able to take Frank to the open house or at least to the San Antonio temple to do baptisms for the dead.
I've loved my time up here in Corpus and the people I've been able to meet and help teach. Especially Frank and his decision to be baptized. I'll never forget how happy he was. President told me I'll be leaving this next transfer; the only question is where to? Guess we'll see next week!
Hope you all have a great week! I appreciate you all for your prayers, love, support, and friendship. I'll do my best to reach out in the coming weeks. Stay safe and go with God!

Last week's email: "Get back in there tear!" Movie: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2
The police officer, Officer Earl, remarks that it's enough to make a grown man cry, and then says, "But not this grown man! Get back in there tear!" And proceeds to stick the tear back into his eye. (Wish I could do that)
