Work. Work Is Your New Favorite.

¿Cómo andan? Espero que bien. Hope this email finds you well, wherever in the world you are.

Some may think I'm lying with the title of the email, but work genuinely is my favorite (most of the time). Missionary work truly is one of the most fulfilling things. I'm not saying it's easy, because it definitely isn't, but it is pretty awesome.

You may be asking, "Why is it awesome?" You may not. No matter which group you fall into, I'm going to answer anyway.

This week was awesome because we were able to set three of our friends on baptismal dates! We reset the date with our friend Frank and made a game plan with him on what he needs to do to reach that goal. It was definitely what he needed, and he's ready to hit the ground running. Our friend Felipe got an answer to his prayer and feels like he should be baptized. We had a good conversation setting expectations. Prayers up for Felipe that he can receive the strength he needs to keep moving forward. Lastly, a 17-year-old kid named Mark who had met with missionaries in the past. He was super hyped to be baptized and really wanted to make it to church. Hopefully, he still does, because when we went by to make sure he was coming to church, he was still asleep... (Church is at noon). All in all, cool friends, and I'm excited to keep working with them.

Another piece of good news is that our friend Ashley is FINALLY back in town after a month and a half in South Carolina. She was able to make it to church and is excited to pick back up with learning! Hopefully, we can help her get married and back on baptismal date soon! Prayers up for Ashley, she's awesome.

Lastly but not least, Elder Jones and I got to/were asked to teach the Sunday school lesson. I'm going to choose to believe that it went well. We were able to teach on some of the missionary efforts of Paul in Athens (Acts 16-20).

What stood out to me the most about Paul's teachings is that he was able to help the people learn that God isn't just some unknown force or being, but that He knows us, cares about us, and that we're His children! Acts 16:28, "For in Him we live, and move, and have our being... For we are also His offspring."

I'm truly grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ that allows us to truly come to know our Father in Heaven and for the part He plays in our individual lives.

That's all for this week, thanks again for reading. Love y'all.
