Stay On Target, Stay On Target

Crazy week, new companion, old area but also new area. Confused? Me too.

Long story short, my area (the bike area) got dissolved and combined with the car area. Now, my new companion Elder Jones and I cover the entire ward and get to use the car.

Our friend Tamie was supposed to get baptized yesterday, but unfortunately she's really, really sick and has been pretty much stuck in bed. As a result, she wasn't able to make it to church, and we'll have to postpone. I know that the Lord provides a way and will help us find it, and that she'll be baptized soon enough. Please keep her in your prayers; life has been tough for her.

We found this guy named Frank, and he's super cool. He asked his pastor about baptism and wasn't satisfied with the answer, so he was super ready and glad to hear our message about the restored priesthood authority and the correct way to do baptism. We invited him to be baptized, and he accepted! Hopefully, there will be much more to come, with more updates on Frank.

Our friend Carol is still working on quitting smoking, but the plan/hope/goal is for her to be baptized this Sunday. We got her some gum to chew instead, invited her to pray vocally anytime she feels the need to smoke, and told her to call us anytime she needs us to help talk her out of smoking. It's going to be a tough one for her, but I truly know all is possible and that God can move this mountain.

Despite the setbacks and difficulties, I know our goals are possible. We just need to stick with it and stay on target; hence the title quote this week. Definitely something I have to keep reminding myself.

Hope you all can hear the Lord's voice and guidance this week. I know He lifts and supports always. I truly hope you can all learn this for yourselves.

Se amo,

-Elder Teeples

Last week's email: Days are starting to blend together
Movie: Avatar - As Jake keeps a video log of his experiences living among the Na'vi (the blue people), he says the line after he makes it clear he dislikes making video logs.

P.S. - I did not do that title because I dislike writing emails. I love updating you guys. The days just do be blending together.
