Days Are Starting To Blend Together
Yet again, another blur of a week. I keep thinking things happened last week and almost forget to mention them because I assume I've already talked about it. Hence the title.
Mission life really is crazy. (Totally worth it though).
As far as our friends Tamie and Carol are doing, they're both making excellent progress quitting smoking and working towards baptism. Carol was supposed to get baptized yesterday, but unfortunately, there was an accident in the family, so she had to travel to visit them. We've already reset and recommitted her, so be on the lookout for that. Tamie is showing so much excitement and desire to be baptized. She was determined to come to church no matter what happened because she knows how important it is both for her and her family. It makes me happy to see it.
This transfer has really been crazy because of the emergency transfer a couple of weeks ago, where we suddenly became a trio, but it's also made every day pretty fun.
Random detail that will also explain why my email is coming in so late: my phone has a really bad habit of freezing up, turning off, and then rebooting at random times. Super annoying and not conducive to doing missionary work, but I'll figure it out and get Satan to stop messing with my phone.
Something I wanted to share with you all is how important it is to be centered on Christ. The church has a lot of doctrine, teachings, and practices, but their purpose is to point us to Christ. I often feel as though we can forget the real reason we're doing things in the church. Seek Christ in all we do, remember Him through the ordinances and covenants we make in the church, and find joy through His Atonement.
I have truly grown to appreciate that and know that you all can and will, too.
Hope you have una semana bomba!
¡Hasta la próxima!
