May The Force Be With You, Always
This week's email title is pretty easy to guess, but it was Star Wars Day on Thursday, so I had to.
Besides just being Star Wars Day, on Thursday we had a mission-wide summer conference. It was super uplifting to hear from Presidente Larreal and Hermana Larreal and to catch up with the other missionaries across the mission. We had to wake up at 5 a.m., leave at 6 a.m., and drive 2½ hours south from Corpus to McAllen, but it was most definitely worth it.
In case you're wondering, the grand total of times Elder Teeples has fallen/crashed his bike since being in a bike area is 3 times. I did have two times I saved it and didn't fall though. (Ground: 3, Elder Teeples: 2) Bruised and sore, but I always manage to get back up and keep going. If that's not the strength of the Lord right there, then I don't know what is.
Last night we had a really cool lesson with a guy we received as a referral from some missionaries up north. They sent us his information, and we got in contact with a member friend he has, who set up the get-together with him and some of her other friends. It was really cool to get to know them and share a message with them at the end.
We shared with them Ether 12:27 and talked about how we have weaknesses and shortcomings not so that we can experience sadness or pain, but so that God can show us His strength and bring us true joy and happiness in Him and through Jesus Christ.
Hope y'all have an amazing week, and as always, thanks for your constant support and love. It makes all the difference in the world.
