I Don't Like Sand
Happy Easter yesterday to you all! I hope you realize how truly significant and life-changing the Savior's life was and how much joy comes through the life of Jesus Christ.
We had an eventful Easter yesterday when Elder Tanner and I were driving down a dirt path that, because of all the rain this week, was very muddy. What happened next was that the truck got stuck in the mud, and I had to get out and push. I got a little muddy and dirty, but we got out and didn't have to call a tow truck. Long story short, I don't like sand (or mud).
Immediately afterward, we got pulled over by border patrol because we came out of the woods with mud all over our truck, looking like we had just driven through the Río Grande. We stopped, and it took the officer one look to realize we were American missionaries and not illegals.
Despite getting stuck and then pulled over, we were on time to dinner with some recent converts and had an awesome and spiritual conversation with them at the end. They're such cool people and so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ in their lives.
This week, it rained a whole lot (hence the mud), but despite this, we worked and found people to talk to. The other day, we were walking and saw this woman walking as well. We walked with her for a little bit, shared a quick message about the gospel, and gave her a pamphlet and our number. Oftentimes, people don't call back, but she did! She gave us her address. The next time we went by, she unfortunately wasn't there, but we knocked on her neighbor's door to ask. They welcomed us in, and we had a discussion about the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It was so cool to see Heavenly Father putting the people in our path who were ready to hear His message.
I want to testify that I know Jesus Christ lives and that through Him we can truly have joy. I know that as we continue to follow Him and His teachings, we can do all things.
God knows. Trust Him.
Until next week!
