So Uncivilized
Buenas morning/afternoon/evening!
Not sure when you're reading this, but I invite you to pick the appropriate time of day that correlates with what time it is and what time zone you're in—or just whichever one you prefer.
To start things off and explain the title this week, I got sorta sick again. Something I ate made my stomach pretty sick, and I ended up having to excuse myself during dinner at a member's house to go and throw up. All I can say is, "So uncivilized."
I felt so bad because I couldn't really eat the food she prepared for us, but she was really understanding and gave me some medicine, coconut water, and a cup of ice.
Despite the difficulty of feeling sick for a day and a half, this week had some real highlights and tender mercies. One that was super small but super cool was that, while we were doing studies, I saw a guy in a Snowbird hoodie. I complimented him, and we talked a little bit, wished each other a good day, and I went back to my studies. This may sound super inconsequential, but to me, it really showed that God was aware of me and that I was where He needed me to be.
Elder Tanner and I also worked super hard this week, and it was so satisfying. We really went on the "find grind," biking and walking the streets, talking to anyone and everyone. There were some people who seemed interested, and it could be really neat, so stay tuned—there could be some cool stuff cookin' up.
Before I go, I'd like to share something my mission president told us in preparation for General Conference. He told us the prophet, apostles, and other leaders of the church receive so much revelation to help us continue preparing for the Second Coming that, at conference, they only share with us 10% of the revelation they receive. To me, that's mind-blowing. It truly shows how lucky we are to have a living prophet to lead and guide us and to give us the information we need piece by piece.
I'd like to close by saying that I know Russell M. Nelson is a prophet of God and the president of Christ's church. I'm so grateful for living apostles to guide us as well, and I'm so excited to hear their words and the things that our Heavenly Father wants us to hear at conference. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Gracias por leer como siempre!
¡Les quiero mucho!

Snaggle-toothed, kinda mean dog.

Happy homie dog that walked 2 miles with us and protected us from the other dogs.
