You Finally Had The Noodle Dream!

To start things off, I've finally started dreaming in Spanish! Can finally check that off the mission bucket list.

This transfer is already off to an awesome start. My new comp, Elder Preece, is super cool and also from Wyoming! He's from Pinedale, which is about 9 hours from Cheyenne, but I still think it's cool.
We work well together already and were able to set a baptismal date with a young couple named Gabby and Andres. They were a referral from some of our members, and they are so ready to learn. We also reset a baptismal date with our friend Eduardo. He's really working to turn his life around and give up his addiction, and I've already seen the progress. He's still got a ways to go, but I know God can and will provide a way.

As for my Spanish, it's getting better day by day, and the feeling of not knowing what I'm doing is slowly going away. I had the SIM card this week, which meant I was in charge of answering calls and calling people. Much to my surprise, I can hold a phone call by myself in Spanish. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the gift of tongues is for real. When people ask how long I've been here and I say 4 months, they're fairly surprised and ask where I learned Spanish. Definitely one of my favorite things to tell them: by the power of God.

Real quick before I head out, I want to share a cool little experience:

In my studies recently, I've been reading the Book of Mormon in Spanish. Right now, I'm at the beginning of Mosiah when King Benjamin is addressing his people. In chapter 3, verse 2, he says:

"...unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father."

Last night, we were talking to an older guy who was sitting on his porch, and I was able to share that verse to show him that the Book of Mormon testifies of the same doctrine as the Bible. It really showed me that Heavenly Father had prepared me in my studies to be able to share this with this man. Just as the verse says, we will be blessed if we submit to the will of our Father in Heaven and the promptings of the Spirit.

That's all for now! Remember, God knows and loves you!
