Pizza Time!

To add some context to the title, I've eaten more Little Caesars pizza this past week than I ever have before. For whatever reason, the members all seem to have this idea that because we're young white guys, we must love pizza. (Which, to be fair, is kind of true.) I really appreciate the members buying it for us, and it was yummy, but the issue is we now have 5 pizzas in our apartment that we have to try and eat. Oh well, at least we have food.

Side note: I was almost hit by a car 4 times this week. First, by a teen who wasn't looking and was going too fast in a neighborhood. The second time, I had to jump back into the car to avoid being hit by a Ram truck right after I got out. The third and fourth times were while we were carpooling with the other Elders in our apartment. But I survived each time, so Elder Teeples: 4, Cars: 0.

On a more serious note, this has been a week of really high highs and really low lows. Our friends Hermano and Hermana Jiménez are progressing really well and are super excited to be baptized this Sunday! I also was able to give a couple of priesthood blessings in Spanish for the first time this week. It was such a humbling experience to be able to help others and to let God give me the words I needed.

One of the lows this week is that one of our friends was supposed to be baptized this past Sunday, but we couldn't get ahold of him for the interview Saturday night. It was honestly really tough because he'd been so excited and ready. But despite this difficulty, I really felt comfort through the Spirit and I know that things will go according to God's plan.

Other things that happened this week, which I can't go into detail about, are that I went on exchanges in the city of Mission with one of the zone leaders, and it went really well. We went on a hike at a state park, and that was super fun too.

Love y'all! Keep on keepin' on!

Last week's email: "I can't seem to die!"
Movie: Jojo Rabbit
Know y'all probably had a tough time with this one, but it's his chubby friend with glasses named Yorkie. He avoids an explosion and says that he can't seem to die.
