I Made My Family Disappear!
Merry Navidad and Feliz Christmas!
Gotta say, Christmas without snow and away from home really is such a different experience, but the joy that comes from being a missionary at Christmas time makes it all worth it!
This past week has been filled with lessons about Christ and His birth, Spanish Christmas songs and caroling, lots of good (and some bad) Christmas food, and even some cold weather (Texas cold, so no snow).
Spanish is coming along, and more than a few times I've been teaching and have been shocked at how much and how fast I've been able to speak. Miracles have not ceased and they're not just confined to the Christmas season. When we have faith, we can see the miracles the Lord has given and is giving us.
Our pal Raul, who has gotten a job as a truck driver, is doing very, very well. He's staying faithful and continues to allow the gospel to change his life for the better. He called us and let us know he's got a week off in January and wants more than anything to be baptized! We set his baptism date for January 15th, and I'm so excited!
I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but in addition to calling me "The Russian" and "Drago," he's been calling me "Pebbles." I guess because it sounds like Teeples, I don’t know, haha. But it seems like this nickname might be the one to stick.
Not a long email today, but a big thanks to those who sent me messages, emails, letters, and packages. Love you all so much, and you've made my week by doing that. Feel free to reach out, and I'll do my darndest to reply on P-day! (I'll send you our awesome Christmas video!)
Feliz Navajo
I mean Feliz Nobbynob

I mean... well, you know what I mean.
Wishing you the best,

Last Week's email: "You can do it, Brucey!"
Movie: Matilda
It's the part when Bruce, her friend, has to eat all the chocolate cake.
