This Is Getting Out Of Hand, Now There Are Two Of Them!

Hey everyone, I made it to South Texas and couldn’t be happier to be here helping others learn about Jesus Christ. Traveling was weird because I was all alone, but I made it. Happy Thanksgiving! (¡Día de Acción de Gracias!) Since most everyone here is Mexican or South American and they don’t really celebrate Thanksgiving, they just call it Día de Pavo, which means Turkey Day. But we had a mission conference and a holiday P-day, so email time! As for the title of the email, it’s because I’m now in a trio! My trainer is Elder Dahl, who’s from Tennessee. He’s super spiritual, very helpful, and patient with me as I know absolutely nothing about the area since it’s only my third day. My other companion is Elder Wilson, who’s been out for two months, so this is his second transfer, and he’s also still training. Elder Dahl is double training! (Extra special blessings for him because that’s gotta be surprising.) We have three in our room and five in the apartment, so it’s a bit cramped, but I still love it. My first area is a town pretty close to the border called La Joya. It’s almost puro Español, so I’m hoping I can learn quickly. It’s a bike area, so we contact by riding around and talking to whoever is outside. It’s gone pretty well, and we’ve got a lot of potential people who we could start teaching! We also have three kids scheduled to be baptized the first week of December! Their mom is a recent convert, and her sons have been super receptive. As I’ve been able to contact and reach out to people on the streets to talk to them about Christ, I’ve truly noticed that as I’ve opened my mouth to speak, the Lord has given me words and helped me say what He’s needed me to say. He has blessed us with His Spirit and guided us to those who are ready and interested in hearing the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. By popular demand, I’ll now be saying the movie that the previous week’s email title was from in a P.S. Last week’s was from Black Panther. See if you can figure out this week’s! Love y’all, and may the Lord be with you!
