As You Can See, I'm Not Dead!
Hey everyone! Little did I know when I titled my last email "You got heart, kid, where you from?" that the "where you from" part would matter. Turns out it did, because that's where they decided to send me while I figured things out. Being released as a missionary and going home was one of the hardest things I've experienced, but it made me realize how much I truly want to serve God and preach His gospel. The fears of leaving the MTC and getting to the mission field have just melted away, and now I can't wait to get to Texas. Speaking of which, as you might have guessed from the email title (as always, extra points if you know what movie it's from), I'm good to go back out on my mission! My appointment with the cardiologist went perfectly, I don't have any heart complications, and I got my travel plans to head out Monday the 21st! This whole experience, while difficult, has truly been filled with miracles. From being able to recover enough from my concussion to finish my missionary training, being in the Provo MTC where I had access to amazing healthcare, being able to get an appointment with the cardiologist the week I got home, and being able to do all the necessary heart tests in one appointment when I would normally need to make multiple appointments. A big thanks to President Blake, a counselor in my stake presidency, for getting me an appointment with the cardiologist. Without his connection at the hospital, I very likely would have had to wait months to get in. I know these things may seem minor, but together they've truly shown God's hand in my life and how He helps us through our trials. I still don't fully understand why I'm going through this, but I know that God has a plan and knows what's best for us. One of my favorite scriptures is in Proverbs 3:5-6: 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. I know this is true, and if we trust in Him, He will guide us and direct us. I know God is our loving Heavenly Father and will never abandon us. All we need to do is turn to Him. Love you all, and your Father in Heaven loves you too! Sincerely, The artist formerly known as "Elder Teeples" (and soon to be again) Pics: 1-2) Got to go to the Provo City Center Temple with my mama and my cousin Elsee, who soon will be serving her mission in Brazil! (She’s going to be such a good missionary.) 3) My cute brother Logan missed me. 4) My friend Ella received her mission call to Taiwan, and I got to go to her call opening! (You already know she’s going to be a great missionary too.)
